Microcredit for youth enterprises

Microcredit for youth enterprises

To concretely affect the employability of young people through support for those who have already start-up a business and for those who want to start-up, the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani collaborates with the MECC – Microcredit for the civil and communion economy, of which it is partner.

The MECC is a subject of ethical finance for microcredit activities, structured in the form of a cooperative society. It was established pursuant to Article 111 of the Consolidated Banking Act and is the result of the relationship between the most important Italian and European civil and solidarity economy networks.

The MECC promotes civil economy and integrated local development policies by supporting socially responsible companies, especially youth startups, through microcredit and training.

The MECC organizes free training and tutoring courses aimed at transforming the entrepreneurial ideas of potential beneficiaries into economically sustainable projects that are environmentally, socially and culturally responsible. Those who successfully complete the course obtain funding for their project through the provision of microcredit.

The loans cannot be secured by collateral and cannot exceed the limit of € 25,000 for each beneficiary.
