FA BENE. Memorandum of Understanding Signed with Legambiente Sicilia

FA BENE. Memorandum of Understanding Signed with Legambiente Sicilia

A new memorandum of understanding for the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani is aimed at expanding the network of the “Fa Bene” project.

The new partner is Legambiente Sicilia, an environmental association that adheres to the principles and objectives of Legambiente Onlus, of which it is an operational territorial branch in the Sicily region.

The “Fa Bene” project and Legambiente Sicilia share several aspects of their mission: foremost among them is the promotion of sustainable development, which is development based on the correct balance between economic well-being, the environment, and social equity.

The Foundation has already interacted with various Legambiente Sicilia circles, discussing topics of bioeconomy and civil economy, and focusing on the agri-food supply chain, a strategic asset of the Sicilian territory and a channel for social and work inclusion in the “Fa Bene” project. These interactions have led to a memorandum of understanding that represents a first step towards the realization of joint initiatives. Indeed, Legambiente Sicilia will support the Foundation in carrying out local animation activities aimed at Family Purchasing Groups and schools: educational, recreational, and experiential activities that spread awareness of the need for sustainability in the food supply chain. Consumers, future consumers, and companies, all moving towards the path of “good and fair” food.

A heartfelt thanks to Legambiente Sicilia for their collaboration.
