Giuseppe La Rocca Appointed to UniCredit’s Sicilian Advisory Board

Giuseppe La Rocca, director of the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani, is among the members of the UniCredit Territorial Advisory Board for Sicily, which was officially established on October 22 with its first meeting held in Isola, Catania.

The Territorial Advisory Boards are consultative bodies created with the aim of strengthening the understanding of individual territories, relevant sectors, and local social issues, providing a positive contribution to the sustainable development of business and territories.

The UniCredit Territorial Advisory Board for Sicily, consisting of 15 members, is chaired by Nico Torrisi, CEO of Sac Spa, President of Federalberghi Sicily, and Vice President of Assaeroporti.

The Advisory Board will contribute to the implementation of projects in the territory in line with the goals of the UniCredit Group, also acting as a channel for listening to local transformation dynamics and contributing to the definition of the Bank’s territorial development plans.

The new members of the UniCredit Territorial Advisory Board for Sicily, in addition to the president, Nico Torrisi, are: Francesco Ferreri, Regional President of Coldiretti Sicily; Nunzio Abbate, Director of System Lab STMicroelectronics; Sabrina Conoci, Professor of Physics of Matter and Delegate for the Third Mission at the University of Messina; Patrizia Di Dio, President of Confcommercio Enterprises for Italy Palermo; National Vice President of Confcommercio Enterprises for Italy; Maria Cristina Elmi Busi Ferruzzi, President of Sibeg srl, National Vice President of Assobibe, and Vice President of Confindustria Catania; Piero Giglione, General Secretary of Cna Sicily; Carmelo Giuffrè, Administrator and Founder of Irritec SpA; Giuseppe La Rocca, General Director of the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani; Giancarlo Licitra, Founder and Sole Administrator of Lbg Sicilia Srl; Marcello Mangia, President and CEO of Aeroviaggi SpA; Antonio Perdichizzi, CEO of Tree – Opinno Italy; President of Junior Achievement Italy; Antonio Rallo, CEO of Tenuta di Donnafugata Srl; President of Sicilia Doc Consortium; Marco Romano, Professor of Business Economics and Management at the University of Catania; Giuseppe Russello, CEO of Omer SpA.

The members of the Advisory Board were chosen from among entrepreneurs, institutional figures, academics, or representatives of specific entities that enjoy an undisputed reputation in the economic field, both nationally and territorially.
