In November, the educational journey on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) by the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani kicked off: the TILT! Inclusive Technologies for Free Talents workshops at the Galileo Galilei Institute in Canicattì.
This educational program, titled “TILT! Female Empowerment and Gender Equality”, is based on the “Challenge Based Learning” method, aiming to raise awareness among young people about the importance of gender equality in the professional world. The ultimate goal of this journey is the creation of a communication work that promotes the principles of female emancipation (WEPs). With TILT!, we aim to create an inclusive ecosystem where technology acts as a bridge between people’s aspirations and their realization. Through the project, the intention is to harness the potential of hidden talents in the community, providing training, resources, and support to girls and boys to express and develop their unique abilities.
During the course, participants will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of technologies and tools, including Risograph, chatGPT, 3D printers, rapid prototyping, interaction tools, web development, graphic design, digital platforms, and social media. The workshop includes introductory training on Design Thinking tools and technologies, along with an educational journey on gender and feminism-related topics.
The Community Foundation with this project promotes access to technology as a tool for personal and professional empowerment, demonstrating how innovative and inclusive education can be an instrument of change for boys and girls and their communities.
