Thanks to your support through community crowdfunding, we will be able to improve the educational space of the Agrigento micropolis and bring the ‘Insieme Educare’ project to life. The Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani is committed to co-financing the project with a contribution of €5,000 once the initial €5,000 has been collected on Intesa Sanpaolo’s ‘For Funding’ platform.
The ‘Insieme Educare’ project was created to meet the needs of parents who, in an ever-changing and increasingly hectic world, often find themselves in doubt about their ability to educate their children. Managed by Familia Società Cooperativa Sociale, the project will take place in the educational micro-space in Agrigento, activated as part of the ‘Micropolis: a new model of community welfare’ project, selected by Con i Bambini within the framework of the Fund for the fight against child educational poverty.
Through a parent training programme, “Insieme Educare” aims to equip adults with practical tools to manage problematic behavior and stressful situations. The main objective is to promote greater awareness in the educational approach. The ultimate goal is to improve parenting skills, fostering more effective communication with children, managing emotions and creating a positive family environment.
Thanks to this project, parents will acquire skills and abilities useful not only for their children’s growth but also for their own daily lives, both cognitively and emotionally-relatively. The programme includes a series of monthly two-hour meetings with groups of 10 parents. Various topics will be addressed during the sessions, such as parenting and the challenges it brings, the differences between different educational approaches, parenting styles and the dynamics of parental and marital relationships. The meetings will be led by a highly qualified team of social workers, psychologists and psychotherapists, who will provide both theory and practical experience through exercises, workshops and guided simulations.
Join us in this important initiative and help us create a community where families can find the support they need.
