Young emergers

Goal of the project

Our goal is to support adolescents’ transition to adult life by helping and stimulating them to build their own life project.

Who is it for?

The project is aimed at adolescents between 14 and 17 at risk of social and relational marginalization; girls and boys who have interrupted their study paths, who do not work, to their families and to the educating community.

Activities

The project promotes three main actions aimed at combating juvenile educational poverty:

Action 1

Activation and strengthening of three light and multifunctional educational and aggregative places, intended for adolescents in the area. Spaces of free access and use by children for study and / or for moments of conviviality, sport, play, etc.

Action 2

Pre-work experiences and social commitment, actions to bring boys and girls closer to the world of work:

  • group summer pre-work experiences, led by adults with educational and technical skills, aimed at encouraging the acquisition of basic skills typical of the world of work and promoting education and socialization processes. In particular, boys and girls are involved in activities for the enhancement of common goods
  • competent young people, experience that is based on the non-formal training of a group of boys and girls on the themes and techniques of creative digital education (STEAM)

Action 3

Short vocational training courses at the craft workshops of the Vocational Training Centers (eg mechanics, carpentry, whitewashing, landscaping, graphics, cooking, wellness, etc.), aimed at small groups of young people at high risk of dispersion school, who have neither a qualification nor skills that can be used in the labor market.
This activity will be accompanied by actions of pre-orientation, training and support for individual planning, carried out with pupils at risk of early school leaving of some classes of lower secondary schools.
