Goal of the project
Our goal is to contribute to the development and strengthening of a concept of “citizenship”, understood as belonging to the global community, contributing in a pragmatic way to individual and collective change for the creation of a more sustainable and just world.
Who is it for?
The project is aimed at the entire local community: civil society, teachers, primary and secondary school students, local authorities.
Activities
The project promotes the definition and implementation of a territorial plan of global citizenship education plan for sustainable development, in collaboration with schools and other stakeholders on the topics of energy and waste management. To achieve this specific objective we implement a program divided into 3 results and 10 activities.
Result 1: Increased knowledge and awareness of staff of local authorities on the Inclusive Green Economy (energy and waste)
Related activities:
- Information and training of staff from municipalities involved on good waste management practices
- Information and training of the staff from municipalities involved on good sustainable energy practices
- Dissemination of a guidebook with material and good practices for small local authorities and co-planning workshop
Result 2: Increased knowledge and awareness of students and teachers of local schools on the Inclusive Green Economy (energy and waste).

- Survey of students’ needs and participatory planning of interventions in schools
- Training of Trainers and Teachers
- Didactic workshops on waste with students
- Didactic workshops on energy with students
Result 3: Increased awareness and involvement of civil society organizations on the Inclusive Green Economy (energy and waste).

- Networking and stakeholder engagement on Inclusive Green Economy issues
- Detection and tackling energy poverty
- Training on climate change adaptation for migrants
Impact
135 beneficiaries including staff and policy makers of the municipalities involved in training on the Inclusive Green Economy
15 municipalities participating in events and training on the Inclusive Green Economy
1,460 students, teachers and school administrators involved in training
At least 40 people from civil society reached directly through events and workshops
300 migrants involved in training on sustainable development goals
At least 4,000 members of vulnerable families involved in detecting and combating energy poverty
