Project
SOE – The Sound of Entrepreneurship
Leveraging the Entrepreneurial Competences of Musician To Extenuate the Business Knowledge in time of COVID

Goal of the project

The project aims to strengthen the competencies and entrepreneurial skills of adults working in the music sector, improving their employability and self-entrepreneurship opportunities through capacity building and innovation. The action aims to support the resilience of the cultural and creative sector by addressing the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Who is it for?

The project is aimed at music professionals such as:

  • Emerging/mid-career musicians
  • Music professionals (technicians and promoters)
  • Music schools/training centres (public/private, formal/informal)
  • Hosts, speakers and professionals of music-related TV and radio programmes

Activities

The project includes 4 macro-actions aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of operators in the music sector:

Action 1

R1. Training Tools for Music Entrepreneurship Education: The first phase of the project aims at developing methodologies and tools suitable to develop the entrepreneurial competences of music practitioners. For this reason, it envisages the organisation of focus groups with target groups, the training of trainers and the co-design of the training, the contents of which will be further outlined through training sessions where they will be transferred to the beneficiaries, tested and validated together with them.

Action 2

R2. Learning Platform: the contents, methodologies and tools co-developed with the beneficiaries in the first phase will be transferred to an e-learning platform through which the trainers will be able to train during and after the project.

Action 3

R3. Learning Documentary: The documentary will bring together the content and training tools developed using a non-formal approach based on the history of rock music. The video is an entertaining and accessible learning tool, set up as a documentary about the target group, innovative entrepreneurship and the history of rock music.

Action 4

R4. Protocols for the certification of competences: In order to promote the recognition of competences acquired through SOE tools, it is planned to develop protocols to support the validation and certification of competences of beneficiaries and educators. The protocol will be based on the EQF (European Qualifications Framework) and will develop a scheme for the validation of competences aligned with EU certified training standards.
