Social generativity

Social generativity is the chosen approach for directing Foundation activities.

This involves a new way of thinking and acting, on both a personal and collective level, that opens the possibility of a type of socially oriented, creative, connective, productive and responsible action that is capable of positively impacting the forms of production, innovation, living, caretaking, organizing, and investing by bringing new life to them.
Far beyond the biological aspect (giving birth to a child) “generating” is an expression of that internal energy that opens people to the world and to others, so as to enable them to act effectively and creatively contribute to what surrounds.

By equipping individuals and groups with new capacities to act and participate, improving the environment and empowering people and communities / contexts, consciously contributing to cultural change through the testimony of their actions, generative organizations contribute contributively to new social infrastructures and regenerate common goods, shared meanings, collective identities, individual skills, sustainable forms of work and production.

Social generativity develops in three phases, all equally indispensable:

1. Putting it into the world

Entrepreneurial / creative phase

2. To take care of

Organizational phase

3. Let go

Transitive phase

Local actions for global challenges

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), identified and explained in the United Nations 2030 Agenda, are a global action plan for people, the planet and prosperity.

They represent the necessary and fundamental directions to be taken to face global challenges: a vision of sustainable development that allows the present generation to satisfy their own needs without compromising the possibility of future generations to satisfy their own.
The Community Foundation promotes and supports initiatives that aim to reduce inequalities to foster the inclusive and sustainable development of communities and, thus, link its local actions to global challenges.
Therefore, through our projects we pursue the following Sustainable Development Goals with the world community:
