Territory and Community
The community of reference is composed of people who live in the provinces of Agrigento and Trapani, of all the emigrants who have an emotional connection to their country of origin, and of all the local, national and international organizations and companies that want to contribute to the development of this territory.
The territory that extends between the provinces of Agrigento and Trapani, due to its geographical, historical and socio-economic characteristics contains unique challenges and opportunities.
The local identity of the territory is based on the centrality of the Mediterranean Sea, the economic and social relevance of the productive sectors linked to the food and tourism supply chains, and the importance of the artistic, cultural and natural heritage.

What are Community Foundations?
“Community Foundations are social infrastructures which, due to their characteristic independence, neutrality and transparency, become project accelerators where public and private community resources can converge, establish alliances and encourage co-planning to solve complex problems identified and given priority by the institutions and citizens of the territory. Community Foundations are real platforms for participation as well as resource catalysts for community well-being”
