Territory

Implementation period
March 2022 – February 2024
Donor

Project objective
The project aims to promote the empowerment of adolescents and their active citizenship. The action also intends to combat educational poverty and promote social generativity in the communities where young people live.
Target audience
The project, implemented simultaneously in Italy and Spain, targets adolescents aged 14 to 17 who attend upper secondary schools in Trapani and Zaragoza.
Activities
The project aims to promote both the empowerment of minors and the resilience of local communities and includes 3 main actions:
Action 1 – Training
A highly formative and interactive training pathway is planned, aimed at developing fundamental technical skills in the current labour market (digital, project management, project design) and soft skills such as creativity, innovation capacity, teamwork and multicultural competences.
Action 2 – Contest
Young people, divided into teams, will take part in a contest dedicated to developing initiatives to improve the welfare of the communities in which they live. The ideas developed by the teams will have to respond in an innovative way to the challenges identified in their own community and will be presented to their Spanish peers, who will vote for the two best ideas. At the same time, the Italian participants will act as judges in the contest of the Spanish students.
Action 3 – Implementation
The contest winners will have €1,500 available to implement the selected idea, which will be monitored remotely by the Spanish teams. The other participants will be able to support the implementation of the two ideas selected in their territory or remotely monitor the implementation of those selected in Zaragoza.
